Cenzio / privacy

Privacy policy

Cenzio is a personal expense tracker for iPhone. This policy describes the current iOS app and its widgets.

Effective October 27, 2026

Information you enter

Cenzio stores the expenses, categories, budgets, spending goals, monthly income, recurring expenses, deleted (archived) expenses, learned suggestions and app preferences that you enter or create. They are saved on your device and shared with Cenzio's own widgets through Apple's App Group storage.

Sign in with Apple

Signing in with Apple is optional; Cenzio works fully without an account. If you sign in, Cenzio keeps Apple's anonymous user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. They are stored in your iPhone's Keychain and are not sent to the developer. You can stop using your Apple ID with Cenzio in the Settings app under your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.

iCloud sync

Your records are synced automatically to the private iCloud database of the iCloud account signed in on your device, so your other devices with the same account show the same data. This data is stored by Apple under the iCloud terms. The developer has no access to your private iCloud database. You can delete Cenzio's iCloud data in the Settings app under your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Voice and AI expense drafts

Voice recording starts only when you tap the microphone and grant permission. Audio is transcribed on your device and deleted afterwards; it is never uploaded.

The first time you use AI expense preparation, Cenzio asks for permission to send the recognized text, your category names and identifiers, currency, reference date and time zone to an AI provider (OpenRouter/OpenAI) through Cenzio's server. Past expenses, income, budgets and audio are not sent. Cenzio's server does not store or log this text. The AI provider's own retention policies apply. Nothing is saved until you review the draft and tap Save.

Imports and exports

CSV files you choose to import are processed on your device. When you export, Cenzio creates a file on your device and lets you choose where to save or share it. A shared or saved copy is controlled by the destination you chose.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Cenzio does not include third-party advertising or analytics, does not sell your data, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Support email

If you email support, your email address and message are delivered through your email provider. We use them only to answer you. Please do not include financial details that are not needed to explain the issue.

Retention and deletion

Your records remain on your devices and in your iCloud until you delete them. Cenzio → Settings → Account → Delete Account deletes your account and all your records on this device and in iCloud, which also removes them from your other devices. Settings → Clear All Data removes records from the current device only; copies in iCloud and on your other devices remain until you delete them there or remove Cenzio's iCloud data. Exported files and support emails are separate copies that you delete where you saved them. Restoring an iOS device backup may restore app data.

Children

Cenzio is not directed at children under 13.
